The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

The Good:

• Louis XIV's The Best Little Secrets Are Kept- Neo Glam at its best. Rockin', ribald, roguish fun. Totally addictive. Definitely not for the kiddies. Highlights: "Finding Out True Love is Blind" and "Illegal Tender"
• What Einstein Told His Cook: Kitchen Science Explained by Robert L. Wolke- If you're a science geek and a food geek like me, you'll love this book. It talks about the science behind food and has recipes, too!
• M.I.A.'s Arular- Ok, how to describe this? Think cheerleaders, drumlines, dance hall music with a splash of electronica and you've got this album. It's really, really good.
• Hogfather by Terry Pratchett- A favorite of mine that I'm reading for the fifty millionth time. A hilariously funny dark comedy.

The Bad:

• My aching muscles. Damn you, weeds! Damn you to hell!
  
• Studying. Boring.
  
• I currently have the attention span of a gnat on speed.
• So do my kids. And they're whiney.

The Ugly:

• Saw some bitchy girls-- backstabbing wenches-- I knew way back when over the weekend. Noted large, plain clothing they wore to hide the massive amount of weight they gained-- karma in action-- after having one child. Was very pleased about this. I'm sure they saw me smirking as I walked by because they began their heated whispering-- flashback to high school.
